There’s always a good reason to pop into Trough Farm Shop… and our fresh cakes might just be one of them.

From beautifully baked favourites to seasonal sweet treats, our cake counter is filled with something delicious to enjoy with a coffee, take home for later or share with someone you love (although we won’t judge if you keep it all to yourself).

As the mornings get a little crisper and Autumn starts to creep in, there’s no better place to cosy up than Trough.

Settle in with your favourite freshly made coffee, hot chocolate or something warming from the counter and take a little time out from the day.

Sean and Andy, our Estate Team, have been putting their green fingers to work and growing their very own chillies here at Silchester Farm.

After plenty of care, patience and a little bit of sunshine, their farm-grown chilli plants are now ready to find new homes - £10 per pot.

We’ll be open as usual this Monday, so pop in for a bite to eat, play games in the Farmhouse garden or enjoy a little browse around the Farm Shop.

The weather might be cooling down, but that just means it’s cheese & w**e season 🍷🧀
