Serious business now!

We grew our ‘Specials’ last year & had them available for towpath trading as well as events & we will continue with this.
I think we rotate around a great selection but would like to know if you have a particular favourite you think would be a good addition?
We will be adding Lincolnshire Poacher & Yoredale (formerly Old Roan) traditional farmhouse Wensleydale this year.

Last year we added plain Wensleydale, Sage Derby & hard goats cheese from customer requests & all sold well.

When you see us out trading this year you will see a new addition to the boat.
This is our new tiller pin, for any non boaty followers you need a tiller pin to hold the removable tiller arm (the stainless steel tube) to the boats tiller, we & a lot of boaters remove the tiller arm when moored up as they are a very ‘nickable’ lump of metal esp a stainless steel one! The tiller tassle or bell rope is hung through a hole in the pin to stop is getting dislodged when travelling.

So cheesy peeps, it’s still January 😳 yes still! We havn’t been just sitting around eating cheese though, we have been getting ready for 2026, however with all the broken bits of canal that’s a post for another day!
We’ve been reprinting & increasing the ‘Specials’ we will bring in during the year, over 30 now but not all at once as our main & core range will be as it has been for the past 5 yrs the whole range from Great British Cheese Company, oh, did I not mention we are celebrating 5 years of Cheese Aboard this year?

Yes, 5 years 🧀🎉❤️🎉🧀 of bringing you cheesy delights, things have changed, we have grown, competitors have come & gone but we are still hear.

We will be revisiting returning to old haunts this year & hope to get to all our regular places providing Canal & River Trust fix the canal by mid summer, yes that’s the current prognosis 😳 we may be found at a few events we love but can’t get to by boat in time, trading as a land stall but this limits our stock due to restricted holding facilities but it’s better to be there in some capacity to support event charities/organisers than not at all, we think.

So printing & laminating has been done, new flags & bunting has arrived, trading plans are pencilled in the trading diary, new white board received, blackboard has been spruced up, business cards & ‘Own Label’ labels have been ordered, giveaway key rings are made, Loyalty Cards have been revamped, suppliers have been contacted for updates so we are feeling refreshed & excited for this season ahead.
