A huge THANK YOU to our customers and passers by who, despite the very wet weather, helped raise £262 at yesterday’s plant and golf ball sale for The Brain Tumour Charity.

Along with the £200 in our collection boxes, we’ve added another £462 to The Linzi Geddes Fund which has now raised a total of £32,620.77 for brain tumour research (69% of their £47,000 target).

It was heartbreaking to speak to so many people who had lost friends and loved ones to this dreadful disease.

Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer, yet just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease since records began in 2002. (Source: NHS Imperial College Healthcare)
