It’s been a pretty rough year for our poor bees.
With the weather being so unpredictable and wet they all only made enough stores to keep themselves going after winter, which meant no spring harvest.

Thankfully with the weather being a little better the last few weeks, they have been very busy and we’ve been able to harvest some this weekend 🍯🐝🫶🏼

Welcome to Tiptree Honey

We are a family from the lovely village of Tiptree in Essex, living on the outskirts of the village close to a small nature reserve.

Our beekeeping journey started as a tribute to my husbands father, who sadly passed away in December 2022 on Boxing Day from Bowel Cancer at the age of 62.

My husband was lucky enough to have received some money as his final Christmas present from him before he passed, so used this and a bit he had saved up to buy his first hive.

In this way, we could remember his Dad from the gift of honey every year at harvest, however the enjoyment, and the bug grew from there, very quickly increasing to more and more hives.

We now have 8 hives and growing and planning to add more including extending out into more local areas

We care for our bees directly all year round, with even the kids helping occasionally, and only ever cold extract and filter it twice to remove as much wax as possible before it comes to you.

From our bees to you is our motto, and we invite you to share in the gift of natural honey with all its health benefits and hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
