Small businesses are the heart of our community. They create local jobs, support families, and keep our High Road vibrant. If trade continues to fall, we risk losing some of the businesses that make our area special.

Today, I met with the Mayor Ryan Hack to discuss potential solutions to the ongoing parking issues associated with Sainsbury’s.

The current parking arrangements are causing significant confusion for customers and are having a detrimental impact on local businesses along the High Road.

We have also raised these concerns with the Brent & Kilburn Times and remain hopeful that this matter can be resolved as soon as possible.

We encourage residents and local business owners to support our campaign by signing our petition.

O’Farrells Butchers, a well-established and respected local butcher in Willesden Green, is currently seeking reliable, motivated and customer-focused individuals to join our team on a full-time and part-time basis.

About the role

Successful candidates will play an important part in delivering excellent customer service and supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the shop.

Key responsibilities include:
• Serving customers in a professional and friendly manner
• Taking customer orders accurately and efficiently
• Preparing and displaying products to a consistently high standard
• Maintaining a clean, well-organised and fully stocked shop floor
• Processing payments and operating the counter
• Providing general support to the butchers and wider shop team

Person specification

We are looking for applicants who can demonstrate:
• A professional and approachable manner
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Reliability, punctuality and a strong work ethic
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Previous experience in retail or a food-related environment is desirable, but not essential, as full training will be provided
