We began as The Senase Project over 15 years ago, with a mission to eradicate poverty through community development. We have since refined our values, finding strength in what remains.

Our baobab was harvested and processed by women in Bolgatanga, Ghana. Its proceeds will help fund scholarships for deserving students in Ghana, closing an important circle for keeping the country's greatest resources where they belong -- in Ghana.

The Baobab tree (Adansonia) has been known throughout history as the “Tree of Life”. Its fruit is rich in antioxidants, essential nutrients, and vitamins. In the Northeastern Region of Ghana, Africa, a women-operated farming cooperative still harvests and processes the fruit of this tree using traditional methods.

Our goal as Aya Baobab is to provide this amazing superfood to Ghanaians, first. The proceeds will fund scholarships for deserving youth in rural areas and create a sustainable supply chain that nourishes bodies and minds.
