UPDATE: Sanchaba United will be lucking horns with Dabanani F.C for a spot in the gunjur nawettan proper in the final playoffs game tomorrow at the nyamina football field.

Sanchaba United Advance into the playoffs!

Sanchaba United have advanced to playoffs of the Gunjur summer newettan Qualifiers thanks to a 5-3 penalties shootout over Infants battalion F.C.

It was a well contested game with the sifoe based team leading by a goal to nill reading into the second but the battalion boys responded well into the second period with a 60 minute equalizer. The game was then forced onto penalties, where sanchaba United held their nerves to secure a victory.

Kaanaadaa F.C and The Pub F.C couldn’t make it the playoffs after both losing their second games against precious plastic Gambia and New Town F.C respectively.

Sanchaba united will be battling with one of last season’s relegated teams, Dabanani F.C on Sunday to secured a spot into the newettan proper.

Sifoe Sport committe present another grand Super cup final between Sanchaba United and Kaanaadaa F.C live at the sifoe football field with the return of Hon. Dawda A. Jallow’s sponsored football tournament.

It’s the play of last year’s final with two great footballing powerhouse. Sanchaba will be aiming for a back to back trophies while kaanaadaa F.C will be hoping to make an end to thier trophy drought of nearly two decades.

News reaching us has confirmed that Mr. Bakary Bojang has been appointed as the new Alkalo of sifoe village. This appointment came after the position remain vacant of since the demise of the former Alkalo, Mr. Bajerreh Demba, Allah be pleased with him.

Announcement: Sifoe VDC

The Sifoe Village Development Committee (VDC) is pleased to inform the entire village that it has handed over seventy-five thousand dalasis (D75,000) to the Market Committee as part of its ongoing efforts to support the timely completion of the village market.

The cash was presented to the head of the Market Committee, Mr. Badgie, and Bubacarr M. Kanteh by the VDC Chairman, Ousman Minteh, along with Edward Jammeh, as shown in the accompanying photo.

As you may recall, a few months ago, in a similar development, the VDC also handed over one hundred thousand dalasis (D100,000) to the Market Committee. This additional support will go a long way in helping the committee complete the remaining work.

In another development, the Health Committee, under the leadership of Ebrima Gitteh, on behalf of the VDC, is pleased to announce that it has donated sanitary materials to the Sifoe Health Centre as part of its efforts to maintain cleanliness and improve the health environment for all.
