🚨 NEWS: The Prince of Wales had a “secret” engagement Thursday afternoon. He visited the MI6 headquarters and his visit was unannounced and his mission, confidential. The meeting with Britain’s foreign intelligence was not revealed to the public in advance, instead entered into the Court Circular the day after the fact. No wonder the visit was kept under wraps: MI6 is responsible for overseas espionage in the name of counterterrorism, disruption of hostile foreign agents, and ensuring cyber security.
Back in 2019, Prince William completed a three week “internship” with Britian’s top spies at MI5, MI6 and GCHQ. His tasks included monitoring extreme Islamist terror cells, identifying potential threats abroad and cutting-edge code breaking technology.
At the time, Prince ‘Spending time inside our security and intelligence agencies, understanding more about the vital contribution they make to our national security, was a truly humbling experience,’ he said in a statement after the secondment was made public. ‘These agencies are full of people from everyday backgrounds doing the most extraordinary work to keep us safe,’ he continued.
