A little update from Pete’s 💙
It’s with very heavy hearts that we have to let everyone know that Pete’s will be closing its doors on 17th October 2026
This has not been an easy decision for us to make. Unfortunately, with the current economic climate and the ever-increasing costs involved in running a small local shop, the business is simply no longer financially sustainable for us.
We have tried our very best to keep things going, but we have reached the point where we have had to make the incredibly difficult decision to close.
We have absolutely loved owning this little shop for the past five and a half years. It has been such a huge part of our lives and our family’s lives. Our children, Indigo and now Seven, have grown up here too — spending so much of their childhood in and around the shop, getting to know all the familiar faces and becoming part of this wonderful little community alongside us. 💙
There are so many memories tied up in these four walls, and although we know closing is the right decision for our family, that certainly doesn’t make saying goodbye any easier.
We want to say a huge thank you to every single person who has supported Pete’s — whether you called in every day, picked up the odd few bits, stopped for a chat, or simply chose to support a small local business. Every purchase and every bit of support has genuinely meant so much to us.
A shop like ours is about far more than what’s on the shelves. It’s the familiar faces, the conversations, the laughs and being part of the local community, and that is what we will miss the most.
We will remain open until 17th October 2026, and we would absolutely love to see as many of you as possible before we close the doors for the final time.
