I can hardly believe the day is nearly here.

After all the planning and the lovely support Serendipity has received, it would mean so much to celebrate this special milestone with you.

Our official ribbon cutting takes place this Saturday, 26 September at 12.30pm, with celebrations continuing until 5.30pm. Call in, say hello and enjoy a glass of bubbles with us.

Thank you to everyone who has supported Serendipity so far. I hope to see many familiar and new faces on the day.

Congratulations to our own Lydia Clayton, Wedding Accessories Supplier of the Year! 🥳

Huge congratulations are in order for Lydia Clayton, our very own Hi Connacht columnist, who has been named Wedding Accessories Supplier of the Year 2026 at the Let's Talk Weddings Ireland Awards.

An overjoyed Lydia shared the moment as she picked up her trophy, telling followers: "I can't believe it… I WON!"

The Roscommon-based jeweller has more than earned the recognition. Working from her studio, Lydia creates bespoke wedding and engagement rings in gold and platinum, blending Irish heritage with beautiful, modern design.

With over a decade of experience gained in Ireland and across Europe, she has built a reputation for the kind of personal, handcrafted work that couples increasingly want for their big day, most recently showcasing her pieces at Ireland's largest wedding fair at the RDS.

The Let's Talk Weddings Ireland Awards are one of the highlights of the Irish wedding calendar, held each September to celebrate the very best talent and creativity across the industry, so to come out on top in her category is a brilliant achievement.

As well as her award-winning work, Lydia is a familiar face to Hi Connacht readers through her regular column.

Everyone here is thrilled to see her talent recognised on the national stage.
