Bringing Rural Women to the Forefront of Modern Retail
Under this program, WBIE provides free training to rural SHG women in preparing quality food products such as pickles, spices, snacks, sweets, masalas, and solar-dried foods. Once trained, these women receive assured procurement and marketing support through WBIE’s retail ecosystem.
Every Annapurna vending machine exclusively sells SHG-made products, thereby ensuring that women’s efforts directly reach consumers without middlemen — increasing both visibility and income for rural women entrepreneurs.
Seamless Supply Chain Powered by Farmers Parivar and Nari Radhams
Each vending unit is linked to WBIE’s Farmers Parivar Wholesale Marts, which supply and restock vending machines with SHG products. The Nari Radhams, eco-friendly electric goods autos driven by SHG women, take charge of mobile stock refilling, ensuring consistent availability across villages and semi-urban zones.
This closed-loop model allows women to be engaged across every step — production, logistics, and retail delivery — building a truly self-sustaining rural ecosystem.
