A man identified as Kangethe, who allegedly spent years posing as an attractive young woman known as a “yellow yellow damsel,” has been arrested in what residents are calling the biggest scam since Ndengu Samosas. According to locals, he had convinced half the neighbourhood in Kayole that he was one of the finest baddies around, with some hopeless romantics even claiming he was prettier than actual women.The deception collapsed after a long-time sponsor grew suspicious following months of financing hairstyles, data bundles and KFC. When the sponsor finally demanded more and received only creative excuses, he administered a strong dose of Kanamba Specio (podipodi). Once the suspect was asleep, a quick check revealed that he had been sponsoring another man all along. The confrontation that followed ended the masquerade, leaving Kayole residents with one clear lesson: before falling in love, always verify the goods prevention is cheaper than therapy.
