There are a couple of reasons for Stunted Growth
1. Stunted growth can be as a result of inbreeding in your farm or you bought chicks that were from inbreeding. They usually grow slow, die young & generally have poor health including stunted growth.
2. Poor feeding methods..check whether your birds are always crowded while eating. Check whether the feeders & drinkers are in good ratio to birds for each bird to eat comfortably.
3. Check age groupings. Avoid mixing birds of different ages. The bigger chicks will alwyas bully the small bodied chicks for food. This will automatically make them not get enough food.
4. Food quality.
Ensure you supply your birds with quality feeds from a known supplier. Many farmers try to save on feeds & end up buying poorly balanced feeds. Rem, Cheap will always be expensive.

Bringing up healthy chicks isnt just about clean food & water. Temperature variations affect chicks greatly. Ensure optimum good temperatures for your chicks. what to observe:
>Crowding together means they are feeling cold & temperatures arent ok.
>Dispersed- Means their environment of house is too hot & are looking for a place to escape excess heat.
>Scattered - Means room is very ok, temperatures good & they are roaming anywhere.
