FIFA has approved new rule changes to make the game faster and reduce time wasting.

Key changes:

1️⃣ Substitutions:
Substituted players must leave the pitch within 10 seconds. If they take longer, the replacement player will have to wait 1 minute before entering.

2️⃣ Throw-ins & Goal Kicks:
Teams will have 5 seconds to take a throw-in or goal kick. If they don’t restart play in time, possession goes to the opponent.

3️⃣ Injury Treatment:
Players who receive treatment on the pitch must leave the field and can only return after 1 minute once play restarts.

4️⃣ VAR Reviews:
VAR will now be allowed to review 2nd yellow cards and corner decisions if there is a clear mistake.

Senegal 🇸🇳 head coach Pape Thiaw has urged the people of Senegal not to contribute money to help pay his fine, but instead to redirect those funds to people who truly need support.

Pape Thiaw, responding to the fundraiser launched in his name, said:

“People of Senegal, my family, your solidarity since the announcement of the sanctions has touched me deeply. Thank you for the love you show me every day.

However, I humbly ask you not to organise fundraisers in my name. While I understand and appreciate this generous gesture, I invite you to redirect these funds to more urgent causes, for the benefit of those who truly need them.” 🇸🇳

Senegal coach Pape Thiaw handed a 5-match ban and fined $100,000 by CAF for asking his players leave the pitch during AFCON 2025 final against Morocco two weeks ago in Rabat.

▪️🇸🇳Ismaila Sarr and Iliman Ndiaye handed 2-match suspension for unsporting behaviour towards the referee.
▪️🇲🇦Achraf Hakimi suspended for two matches for his unsporting behavior (with one (1) these matches being suspended for one (1) year)

▪️🇲🇦Ismaël Saibari suspended for three (3) official CAF matches and fined $100,000 for his unsporting behaviour.

▪️🇸🇳Senegal FA fined $615,000 for the improper conduct of its supporters.
▪️🇲🇦 Morocco FA fined $315,000
