You can tell a lot about someone by the groceries they order 😂

This customer ordered 5KG of black-eyed beans and palm oil, so immediately I knew serious cooking was about to happen. But no plantain? Not even green ones to keep at home and let them ripen? I have questions 😂

Then came the Peak milk powder. I’m personally Team Nido, but I know Peak has a very loyal fan base, so I’ll mind my business.

They also added shili, or nzu as many Nigerians call it, plus TWO different levels of pepper powder. Now this is where I knew whoever was behind this order was not playing with food.

Funny enough, the order came in with a Lithuanian name, but the basket was speaking fluent African kitchen. 😂

And this is one of my favourite things about running OBA African Store. Seeing little pieces of home packed into a box and sent to someone’s kitchen somewhere in the Baltics.
