Human rights are universal and non-negotiable.
They belong to every Nigerian, just as affirmed by the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and echoed in our nation’s Constitution.
Amid increasing attacks on human rights across Nigeria—including threats to freedom of expression, peaceful assembly, and the safety of vulnerable communities—and despite funding challenges, security risks, and systemic pressures, the Advocacy for Human Rights and Cultural Values for Development Initiative continues to work every day to promote and protect human rights.
We do so by upholding human dignity and equality as the cornerstone of sustainable development, social justice, and lasting peace—rooted in our diverse cultural values that respect the sanctity of every person.
