Photos from the Flag-Off Ceremony of the IDEAS Project NG by the Four TSPs in Yobe State
The Flag-Off Ceremony of the IDEAS Project NG Cohort-2 was successfully held on 26th February 2026 in Potiskum, Yobe State. The event marked the official inauguration of 260 trainees under the six-month skills acquisition programme.
The ceremony took place at Federal College of Education, Potiskum and brought together key stakeholders in the education and skills development sector. The trainees were formally inaugurated by Dr. Adamu Ahmed Goje, who represented the four Training Service Providers (TSPs). The occasion was also honoured by the presence of Mr. Ayo Adejumo, who represented the Federal Minister of Education and the Director General of the TVET-IDEAS Initiative.
In his remarks, Mr. Ayo Adejumo commended the four TSPs for their dedication, professionalism, and measurable achievements recorded so far in the implementation of the project. The Training Service Providers include:

-Yobe State Science Technical College, Potiskum
-Best Center Gashu
-Feenat's Cake
He acknowledged their strong commitment to empowering young people through technical and vocational education, noting that the IDEAS Project continues to make a significant impact in enhancing employability and entrepreneurship skills within the state.
Speaking on behalf of the trainees, Zanna Digiri Ibrahim delivered a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing deep appreciation for the opportunity to participate in the six-month skills acquisition programme. He emphasized that the importance of the initiative in equipping youth with practical, income-generating skills cannot be overstated.
The event was further graced by distinguished guests, including the representative of the Emir of Fika, the Commandant of the Civil Defence Corps, and representatives of the State Science and Technical Board, Yobe State.
The ceremony marked another milestone in the continued effort to strengthen technical & vocational training in Yobe State, reinforcing the commitment of stakeholders to youth empowerment & sustainable development.
