OMOWAIYE CHARGES PROGRESSIVES e-GROUP ON PROACTIVE ENGAGEMENT
..AS HON. AYANTUNJI SHOWER ENCOMIUM ON PROGRESSIVES e-GROUP.

Osogbo - Osun State

The Executive Director of Project Monitoring, Federal Housing Authority and former Commissioner for Works in Osun State, Engr. Oluremi Omowaiye, has advised members of Progressives e-Group (a prominent media outfit in Osun State), to adopt a proactive approach in their interactions with the public.

Hon. Omowaiye stated this during an Easter visit to him by the group led by its National Coordinator - Comrade Abiodun Collins. Hon. Omowaiye emphasized the importance of empirical analysis in discussing issues. He urged the media group to base their analysis on facts and figures while engaging members of the public.

While speaking, Progressives e-Group Coordinator, Mr. Abiodun Collins expressed gratitude to Hon. Omowaiye for his unwavering support for the party and its members.

Mr. Collins requested Omowaiye's leadership in calming the media storm surrounding the party's 2026 flag bearer. Stressed that the APC's return to power is crucial for addressing pressing issues and fixing identified problems already in place.

Hon. Omowaiye encouraged the media group to continue promoting the party and its leaders. Omowaiye further in his submission acknowledged Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola, Minister of Marine and Blue Economy and former Governor of Osun State, for his significant contributions to the Osun All Progressives Congress (APC).

Hon. Omowaiye noted that Oyetola has been instrumental in keeping the party relevant and functioning particularly in Osun State.

"Oyetola remains one of the biggest financial backers of the party, and his efforts have been unwavering," Omowaiye said. He encouraged Progressives e-Group to highlight Oyetola's impact on the party, emphasizing that this would help maintain momentum and progress.

Hon. Omowaiye also offered advice to young people, cautioning against relying solely on politics for wealth creation. "It's not just politics that can make people rich; many individuals in the corporate world are doing better than those in politics," he said.

He urged youths to think creatively and explore opportunities beyond politics.

Reflecting on his own career, Omowaiye attributed his success to consistency and grace. "I have never aggressively pursued positions, but my dedication and commitment have placed me in the right positions at the right time at all times." he said.

In his submission, Mr Kehinde Ayantunji (former Senior Special Assistant on Students Matters and Social Mobilization to Governor Oyetola) who was at the parley commended Progressives e-Group, describing it as the premier and most effective media group in Osun State. He praised the group's consistency and maturity, stating, "No doubt, Progressives e-Group remains the number one and the best media group, unparalleled in terms of consistency and maturity. You are indeed the best."

Ayantunji also offered words of caution, urging stakeholders to exercise restraint and avoid actions that could create animosity among them, particularly in the lead-up to the primary elections. He emphasized the importance of maintaining cordial relationships, noting that any wounds inflicted during this period ( Pre - Primary) may not heal easily after the primaries. "Let's all the supporters of the aspirants be careful not to abuse each other in this era of pre-primary elections. We should avoid creating animosity that may linger long after the primaries," Hon. Ayantunji advised.

*Taosand Concept Business Plan and How it Failed:A Case Study*

It's no longer news that a mentally challenged woman gave birth to a baby in Ilobu early last week, on Monday. We received a call at Monsurat Ajoke Foundation on Tuesday, informing us about the situation and requesting our intervention to rescue the baby. We promptly visited the Nigeria Police Force, Ilobu command, to collect a police extract before proceeding.

At the family's house, accompanied by a police officer, we met the baby, the family, and the mother. Initially, the family was reluctant to cooperate, leading us to return to the police station to brief them on the situation. The DPO added four more officers, and arrests were made among those disrupting our intervention. We returned to the station, where we met Taosand Concept, who introduced himself as an expert in mental health care. He claimed to have come to take the mother into custody.

We instructed Taosand to take the mother to the hospital while we cared for the baby. However, things took a turn for the worse after he left the station. At the police station, a government representative, the zonal officer of women affairs in Orolu local government, wanted to take the baby to an undisclosed location. We declined, and the police dismissed us, returning the baby to the family.

On Wednesday, we updated Taosand on the situation, but he didn't respond until evening. He claimed the child had been taken to Ibadan, but relatives informed us that the child was at home. Taosand had taken the family to the ministry of women affairs, attempting to persuade them to give the child up for adoption. The family declined, and Taosand took them to an orphanage, which requested 30,000 Naira monthly and 9 tins of baby food. The family refused, and Taosand attempted to take them to Ibadan and later Iwo, but the child developed high temperatures.

The family requested our help, seeking a motherless home in Osogbo where they could monitor the child. We connected them with a reputable orphanage home, and the family agreed to hand over the child. We visited the orphanage's headquarters, collected necessary documents, and conducted medical check-ups for the child. The child was admitted to the hospital with low respiratory issues and malaria, likely due to Taosand's actions.

Taosand appeared at the hospital, causing a disturbance and threatening to discharge the mother. We spent five nights in the hospital, ensuring the child's safety, with support from Comrade Ishola Olateju. The child was discharged on March 25, 2025, and handed over to the family, who then gave custody to Monsurat Ajoke Foundation. We transferred the child to the orphanage home, as agreed with the family.

After ensuring the child's safety, we discovered that Taosand Concept had posted defamatory content about us on social media. Monsurat Ajoke Foundation is a registered organization with CAC and the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs, Osun State. We have worked with government agencies and won several cases for children, women, and the less privileged.

Monsurat Ajoke Foundation is a registered organization with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) and the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs, Osun State. We are also registered with the Social Welfare Council of Nigeria (SCUNL) and have been in existence for almost 10 years, working closely with various government agencies, commissioners, directors, and social welfare departments within the Ministry of Women Affairs and Osun State.

Our Convener serves as the Financial Secretary of the Child Protection Network, Osun State Chapter. She has a proven track record of successfully handling numerous cases involving children, women, and vulnerable individuals. Notable examples include:

- Segun Olowookere's case
- Mariam Olapade, a child allegedly defiled by her biological father
- Ladhifa Aijo, a Cameroonian girl lured into prostitution
- Alinoh Gambo, a girl forced into early marriage by her parents and subjected to abuse
- Ayomide, a 12-year-old girl released from a correctional center after being wrongly detained as a witness in her boyfriend's case and lots more...

We question Taosand Concept's credentials: Is he registered with any government entity? Does he have a home for babies or an NGO? What gives him the authority to take custody of the baby and mother? We demand that Taosand provide documentation supporting his claims within 24 hours.

Signed,

Mr. Collins reiterated the commitment of the group to promoting the ideals of the APC and ensuring effective communication and engagement with the public through all our online platforms.

Hon. Ojeyemi Oluwafemi and Mrs. Waliyat Omobola who are the newly inaugurated General Secretary and Organizing Secretary respectively showered encomium on Alhaji Shuaib Oyedokun for his words of wisdom and strong commitment to rescue Osun from the sackles of PDP in 2026.

The visit marked the beginning of a promising relationship of father and son between the online media team and Alhaji Shuaib Afolabi Oyedokun as we jointly resolved to work together towards the common goal of strengthening the APC's tentacles and successes in Osun State starting from 2026 governorship election.

Progressives e-Group commends Osun State Police Command Anti-Kidnapping Squard for her resolve to rid Osun out of criminals,
....Berate Osun State Government and PDP for putting politics above State security.

Osogbo - 21st November, 2024.

Progressives e-Group (the number one online media team in Osun State that is committed to good governance, justice and peaceful coexistence) wishes to commend the Osun State Police Anti-Kidnapping Squard under the leadership of SP Moses Lohor for their unwavering dedication to ridding Osun State out of criminal elements that are threatening the peace, safety, and livelihoods of the people.

Considering the news in the media since two days ago over the arrest and recovery of pistol and live bullets from one Mr. Nurudeen Iyanda Alowonle who is an appointee of Osun State government as Chairman of Osun State Transport Management System (OSTMC) by the Police Anti-Kidnapping Squad, we must state that the courage and professionalism of SP Moses Lohor Squad in the face of daunting challenges and power play by State Government are noteworthy and deserving of public appreciation. We recognize the sacrifices made by these officers to protect the lives and property of the residents of Osun State, often at great personal risk.

Unfortunately however, it is with deep concern that we observe a disturbing trend of actions and press statements emanating from the Osun State Government and PDP simultaneously, which purposely were to undermine the critical efforts of law enforcement and public peace. These press statements, rather than supporting the Police in their quest to maintain law and order, is sadly emboldening the criminals and creating an atmosphere of mistrust between the public and the security agencies.

Progressives e-Group hereby give a strong warning to Osun State Government and Osun State PDP to desist from overlooking the major issue of availability of pistol and live bullets in the vehicle of Mr. Nurudeen Alowonle which was the basis of police arrest after a "save my soul petition" against him by another citizen of Osun State. Any rhetoric or conduct that disparages the Police in their line of duty will not only demoralize these patriotic officers but also serves as a morale booster for criminal elements who are unfortunately, generally known to be benefiting from government protection over the years.

Osun State Government and the PDP are hereby reminded that the safety of lives and property is a first responsibility of a serious government and any attempt to sabotage the efforts of the Police will be met with strong resistance from all the well-meaning citizens and stakeholders in the State. It is imperative that all hands must be on deck to support the Anti-Kidnapping Squad of the Osun State Police Command and other security agencies in their fight against crime.

We call on the good people of Osun State to remain vigilant and supportive of the Police, as their success is our collective victory. We also urge the Inspector General of Police and National Security Adviser to continue to monitor the actions and one sided noise of Osun State Government and the PDP over the lawful arrest of Mr. Nurudeen Alowonle and public persecution of SP Moses Lohor to ensure the principles of justice, accountability, and public safety is not compromised under whatever guise.

Together, let us work towards a safer and more secure Osun State, free from criminality and undue interference from Osun State Government and the PDP.
