Ewere l’ele o o o !!!!!!!!
This is our story and history
Igbajo has always stood for peace and unity. We are still a unified unit, standing together for the upliftment and growth of the city. We bear no grudge with anyone but we are asking for fairness.
Transition from the demise of our kings to the next has always been a peaceful process among the royal clans; Owa Oke and Owa Odo, with no rigor, hassles, respect for tradition and rotational principles laid down by our forefathers.
From the time of Adewusi and Adegbola, who came from Ile Ife to Oba Olatise who reigned into the Kiriji War, there was an understanding of peaceful transition of Obaship. And from the time of Oba Famodun 1 who died shortly before the Peace Treaty of September 23, 1886 to Oba Adeniyi O. Fasade (1990 to 2020), peace and cooperation was the “agreement and watchword” in transitioning. We will not give up on this peaceful transition process and arrangement. We want equity and this is the yearning cry of the people of Igbajo Iloro.
The public should know that Igbajo is pursuing peace in accordance with the examples set forth by our forefathers. There are no two reigning kings in Igbajo as some people would want the general public to believe. The current Oba Dr. ASK Makinde was duly chosen in accordance with the laid down rules and principles governing Osun State Kingship laws.
Any contrary views from the above is a distorted view, the work of those that hate our town and are hellbent on bringing it down. Igbajo will not go down in our own time. In Igbajo Iloro, we are brothers. The brotherly love will continue to prevail no matter our indifferences, which are always resolved at the diner tables with gourdes of “oguro” at dinner. No matter our differences, it will always be resolved.
We call on everyone to help keep the peace that has always been in Igbajo Iloro and God will preserve Igbajo.
