Our eyes are getting clearer......I said it. Evil, wicked, social media influencers.....God will punish you all. The only mistake the man made was granting your useless interviews in a wrong state of mind and also allowing them to bury his son early. You all presented him as a BAD FATHER to the world. You all wicked people, clout-chasers have succeeded in PRESENTING A BAD FATHER TO THE WHOLE WORLD TODAY.
Someone just lost his son, the best you could do was to interview him few hours later. The whole world are now using his words against him, calling him all sort of names.
But one thing is sure....
The only person Mohbad did not fault when he was alive was his father.
He indicted his mother.
He indicted his stepmother.
He indicted his wife.
He indicted his Marlians

Everyone is talking ill of the same father who stood by him and even still sent him to school all the way to polytechnic and even taught him carpentry and are quiet about the mother who abandoned him and his little sister for 15 years. Maybe Mohbad was just 12 years old when she left and the little sister, maybe 9 years. That is WICKEDNESS. She's now the one kuku receiving condolences, even the Lagos state government ignored the father but visited the mother. No one is seeing a grieving father, a father in pains. All of a sudden from no where, the father who nurtured the guy till that age would bury him alive? Power of social media right?
You are all happy right ?
Time is a revealer of TRUTH.
Let's not allow people who are chasing clout to deceive us anymore even as we seek JUSTICE.

All of a sudden, from no where you all love Mohbad than his father. Who will justify him now ? Many do not know anything about him, but we all call him the worse father anyone could have.
We all need to announce to the world that Mohbad father is a good father. He was good to him. Social media influencers have done so much harm to this man simply because he granted their useless interviews in the wrong state of mind and also allowing them to bury his son early. The whole world is calling this man evil. He needs Justice. Please this man needs JUSTICE. He's not a BAD FATHER.

REFLECTION TIME

My fellow Nigerians, let us take some time to reflect on what has been happening recently.

When Manny Monie filed petitions against Portable, it took the police some months before they took actions. Portable might not have been charged to court if he didn't put up all those shows online. The police felt degraded because Portable was resistant and claiming to know important people in the society. As we talk now, the police didn't give us any official feedback about the outcome of the case. It was Portable that announced online that the case was settled. We are not sure If Portable was fined or cautioned. During the whole scenario, many people supported Portable, knowing fully well what his offences were to Manny Monie and the Police. Many people blamed Manny Monie because he reported Portable to the authorities despite the video evidence of how Portable humiliated and assaulted Manny Monie. Who knows what Portable did off camera to Manny Monie, that made him cry for help before his life was cut short. People were only concerned about Portable's music career and not Manny Monie's life.
Manny Monie, is definitely going through post stress traumatic disorder because of the abuse he received from Portable and lack of support from the society.
We owe Manny Monie an apology.

When Mohbad was alive, he persistently cried out for help through his music. He told some of his close friends and some of them witnessed what Mohbad went through. They were not bold enough to say anything because of the people involved. The first thing people asked after Mohbad's death was if he reported his molesters to the police or not. Luckily, Mohbad did that in June and nothing was done because of the "powerful and untouchable people" involved. It was Portable that first disclosed that himself and Sam Larry belonged to the one million group which they latter came out to debunk.

When DJ Chicken was assaulted and the videos posted online, many people kept quiet. Only about two or three bloggers reposted those videos and no analysis done. People were too scared to talk. DJ Chicken himself had no choice than to collect money twice online to look after his damaged hand. He could have died during the attack or from infection or injuries sustained secondary to the attack. This same Portable quickly did a song hyping DJ Chicken's molester, simply because Portable has issues with DJ Chicken. Having said that, Portable has also assaulted DJ Chicken and posted videos online before.

This shows that majority of we Nigerians are hypocrites. We are quick to support people because of their positions in the society and scared of challenging them.
If Mohbad openly talked about the abuse he was going through, people might have ignored him or treated him the way they treated Manny Monie and DJ Chicken when they cried out for help. Despite all the evidence available, some heartless people are still blaming Mohbad's tragic death on illicit drugs. These people aren't looking at a bigger picture. They refused to address the traumas that led Mohbad to using drugs. The high blood pressure and other cardiovascular complications he had are anxiety related and side effects of the substances he was using. Some people need to focus on the main cause of Mohbad's problems and not just the secondary effects of his coping strategies.

We all need to say no to violence, jungle justice and oppression. Nobody is above the law. We should rally round anyone that cries out for help, regardless of who their molesters are.
We should encourage people to speak out. We should stop hyping the bad people in our society.

What MOHBAD, SORRY

I chose to take my time to really understand what is happening regarding Mohbad's death and it's so painful that majority of us only listen to beats and sounds in music but never pay attention to the lyrics.

Lyrics is what makes the music not just the sound and the beat. Those are just supporting team.

However, I listen to another version of his songs this morning title "Sorry" where he narrated the stories surrounding his life, saying...

This kind life e tire me
Daddy no get salary
Ten years I no see money
Step mother no care
Landlord e dey worry
My brothers are hungry
Daddy gather money make I go poly
I go poly but I no go class daddy I am sorry

The first part of the song talked about the hardship his parents are facing, the maltreatment of his step mother, the landlord threats, his brothers staying all days without food.

Trust me, all these are more than enough for anyone to be mislead and get involved in anything just to change the cause of their lives and that was exactly what Mohbad did.

In the second verse of the Lyrics, he went on to say that...

I don dey do Yahoo
I don dey chop banku
Omo pastor ti wonu aye

He just made it clear that even though he is a Pastor's son; all that is no longer matter as he had decided to be part of anything that can bring in money and eradicate poverty out of his family.

The third version of the lyrics hit hard on his parents and their failure as parents; saying

Mummy just dey pray
Daddy just dey pray for me
Make e better for me
Me I no go school
Only thing I fit do
Music me I choose

Some parents are nothing but total disgrace to humanity. And if you are a parent and you cannot pay closer attention to your children and be sure of the kind of friends they keep and the things they do, then you are nothing but a disgrace.

Praying for your children is never enough, wisdom demands that you get fully involves in their lives and be sure of what they are doing that requires your prayers, so that you don't end up praying for them doing the wrong things.

The last part of the song talks about he giving up on life and his total confusion of what life has in stock for him, saying...

A confusing state of mind is a dead zone, a place of delusional and depression. A state where all the wrong things seems right even when you are so sure that whatever is flying through your mind is never the right thing.

I'd heard both parents talking about he giving them money, they'd never talked about he telling them or discussing with them of his challenges, fears, plans and future; that speaks volumes.

I'm sorry to say this, but his lyrics on this song, speaks more of his parents failing him big time. And if you are a parent, please pay attention to your children and be their closest friend.

Not all the children that have the mental capacity to say no to what they believe is not right for them. Some of us are strong enough to walk away from anything and anyone we considered unhealthy to our wellbeing. Some don't know how to.

Either way, parents, pay attention to your children, question their source of income and find out what the plans regarding their life is. It's important.

It is well with us all.
