*RE: OWA'S CHIEFTAINCY MATTER AT HIGH COURT*

*TODAY'S PROCEEDINGS*
The two cases were adjourned till today.

*Case One*
This is the one instituted by the contestants from Ofokutu Royal Family on behalf of Ofokutu Royal Family against 22 Defendants. The case was presided over by Hon. Justice M.O Agboola. The matter is for report of pleadings. All the Counsel involved were present including the State, represented by Ogunleye. While Dada Esq represented 3 kingmakers; Elegboro, Ogboni lpole and Alademure and Sarumi Esq represented the Haastrups. Lead Counsel of Ofokutu informed the court that none of the Defendants has filed its Defence. Counsel to Elegboro and Co filed notice of preliminary objections and served same today. All other counsel apologized for the delay and promised to file before the next adjournment. His Lordship enjoined all the parties to file their defence, he said that he would not wait for any counsel in the next date. Case was finally adjourned to 14/10/2025

*Case Two*
This is another case that was instituted by Prince Isaac Ademiju Haastrup against Ofokutu Royal Family. This is the case they used against the injunction legally secured by the Ofokutu. You will recall that Hon. Justice Aderibigbe granted the Ofokutu an injunction and the following day, Haastrup Family immediately filed this case. And His Lordship, Hon Justice Aderibigbe set aside the earlier injunction and granted all the prayers in the application filed by the Haastrup. Immediately the application was served on the Ofokutus in January 2025, their legal team reacted to the originating motion vociferously. Since the Ofokutus served their defence to their Lawyer, they found it difficult to react to same on point of law as provided under the Rules. Therefore, when the matter came up today, they have no option than to withdraw their purported action. These are the people that have been boasting before today that they would use their case to defeat the one instituted by the Ofokutus.

The Arimoro family of Bilaro Oluodo Ruling House (Ilesa), has instituted a case against false coronation claims by Prince Clement Adesuyi Haastrup, and nine others. They had also written to the Chief Judge of Osun State requesting the former presiding Judge, Justice Dr. A. A. Aderibigbe, to recuse himself from the case to enable them to get a fair hearing, unbiased and impartial judgment.



The Arimoro family, represented by Prince Kayode Michael Adewale Arimoro and Prince Adedire Adegoke Arimoro - the Global Coordinator of Arimoro Lineage of Bikaro Oludodo Dynasty (claimants), is contesting the process that led to the selection and planned coronation of Prince Haastrup as the new Owa Obokun of Ijesaland, describing it as compromised, an abuse of the tradition and culture of Ijesaland."

Justice M.O. Agboola. Counsel to Ofokutu Royal Family moved motion for substituted service of court processes on the 16th Defendant, and it was granted. Case now adjourned to 03/07/2025

WELCOME TO THE MONTH OF MAY

OUR MONTH OF EXTRA GRACE

The saying is very true that when the going gets tough, only the tough keep going. When the going gets tough, the weak get crushed, the ordinary draws back, and the normal begin to compromise.
Those who don't have enough extra grace can't go far, neither can they face the challenges ahead.

If there's any time when you need extra oil, extra grace, extra patience, extra vigilance, extra dedication, and commitment, it is now.

Matthew 25:3-8
For when the foolish took their lamps, they did not take extra oil with them; [4] but the prudent ones took oil in flasks with their lamps.
[5] Now, while the groom was delaying, they all became drowsy and began to sleep. [6] But at midnight there finally was a shout: ‘Behold, the groom! Come out to meet him.’ [7] Then all those virgins got up and trimmed their lamps. [8] But the foolish virgins said to the prudent ones, ‘Give us some of your oil because our lamps are going out.’
This is the time when people's oils are failing, the dark hour when people are running out of strength, resilience, and courage. You need the extra oil. This is the time to trim up your lamp, put in extra oil, and keep running.
Proverbs 24:10
If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small.
You will not faint in these days of adversities in Jesus' name. Extra oil, grace, and strength are available in His presence. Get into God’s presence, and do more of seeking His face so that you will not run out of oil.
Remember, the fire must keep burning. It must never be allowed to go out.
Grace is poured forth upon you in Jesus' name.
