SABUWAR TAFIYA A YORRO LOCAL GOVERNMENT COUNCIL 2025-2026

The ward executives of Sumbu A, Ward" Yorro Local Government Area of Taraba State, along with the other 10 wards, have today, Sunday, June 22, endorsed Hon. Hashimu Ali Shonva (A.K.A Gajere Kusa Magani Jan Katako) as their aspirant for the Yorro Local Government chairmanship election from 2025 to 2026. After a thorough search, the youths and executives from all 11 wards came together to make this endorsement, seeking a leader who can champion the local government's progress.

As a former councilor representing Sumbu Ward, Hon. Hashimu Ali Shonva has made a significant impact on the lives of the masses. His dedication has earned him the people's favor, and he has written his name in the hearts of Yorro residents in bold letters. He has assisted numerous individuals within and outside his ward in areas such as education, health, and infrastructure, bringing the dividends of democracy closer to the common man.

The Ward Youths Leader expressed that there is no better candidate to carry the cry of the common man to the government than Hon. Hashimu Ali. He called on the entire masses to support this movement, emphasizing that the solution to Yorro's problems has been found.

Hon. Suvah Barau (PDP), Woman Leader of Yorro Local Government, urged the people to rally around the aspirant peacefully. She described Hon. Hashimu as a patient person and advised his supporters to avoid hate speech and insults, focusing instead on spreading love. She concluded by reminding them that power comes from God and that they should look up to Him, adding that whatever is tied on earth is established in heaven.

Hon. Markus Ishaya, a board member of Taraba State Primary Health Care and former councilor, advised the youths to follow the government and respect all stakeholders. He also counseled the aspirant to be inclusive of everyone, regardless of their choice of candidate, and prayed for God's guidance and progress in Yorro Local
