This is how people think👇
They think epidural is just a momentary procedure.
They think once it’s over, the body goes back to normal.
They think if science says it’s safe, then side effects shouldn’t exist.
But an epidural is not just a pinch.
It involves a needle going into the spine.
Through layers of tissue.
Close to nerves that control movement and sensation.
For some women, after delivery,
everything heals — except the back.
The pain may not come immediately.
Sometimes it appears weeks later.
Sometimes months later.
A dull ache.
Sharp pain while bending.
Discomfort while standing or sitting too long.
This doesn’t happen to everyone.
But it does happen to some, it happens to me....
And for those mothers, back pain becomes a daily reminder of what their body went through to bring life into this world.
Calling it a myth doesn’t make the pain disappear.
It only makes the mother feel unheard.
Every body reacts differently.
And when a mother says her back is not the same after epidural,
she deserves belief — not dismissal.
