The importance of keeping your word.
There was once a carpenter named Daniel who was known for one thing—his word. If he promised to finish a table on Friday, it would be ready on Friday. If he said he would help someone, he would show up without excuses.
One day, a wealthy businessman asked Daniel to build furniture for a new hotel. Before giving him the job, the businessman asked around town about Daniel. Everyone said the same thing:
"If Daniel gives you his word, you can trust him more than a written contract."
The businessman awarded him the contract, and it changed Daniel's life. His business grew because people trusted him.
At the same time, another carpenter made many promises but rarely kept them. He was always late, always had excuses, and people gradually stopped hiring him. He was skilled, but no one trusted his word , Daniel's success did not come only from his talent—it came from his integrity
Your word is your reputation.
People may forget what you said, but they will remember whether you kept your promise.
Trust takes years to build but only one broken promise to destroy.
When you keep your word, people will trust you with greater opportunities
