“A newly wedded wife got herself into serious trouble barely one month after her wedding.

She and her husband lives here in Abeokuta, Ogun State...One of her close friends was celebrating her birthday in Victoria Island, Lagos, and she was invited.

Her husband told her he wasn't comfortable with her going. According to him, they had only been married for a month and he felt she should take things easy instead of moving around attending parties, especially one happening far away in another state.

She didn't take it well, she told him he was already trying to control her movements simply because they were now married. He explained himself again and still refused to give his approval.

But she insisted on going.
Eventually, she left Abeokuta and went to the birthday party in Lagos despite her husband's objections.

Unfortunately, the party was later raided.

She and some of the people there were allegedly found with different drûgs

She immediately called her husband to tell him what had happened.

He denied knowing her..right there on the phone, he said he had no idea who she was and had never met her before”

“Well, I will not agree that I'm so wealthy, but I will say I'm comfortable to the glory of God. I will say I'm not satisfied, but I'm not hungry. I will say I'm contented.

But I want to tell you that legitimate wealth comes only from God Almighty. If my wealth is ill-gotten, if I have stolen government money, I will not be criticising government because it would have long come after me.

I've never been invited by EFCC or ICPC or any of the anti-corruption agencies in this country because I've never done government contracts, whether at federal or state level.

Okay, so I'm not worried. My counsel will be, seek for wealth from God because he said he's going to grant us our heart desires. I said we should seek and we'll find.

I've never prayed to God to give me a car. I've never prayed to God Almighty to ask him to give me money. Never.

I've never asked for any material thing from God. Never. My prayer to God always is God give me direction.”

“My fiancée increased her own bride price from ₦3 million to ₦10 million because she found out how much I had just made.

I went to Anambra with my fiancée and her family for our preliminary bride price negotiations.

By that point, I had already spent over ₦4 million taking care of most of the items on the traditional list.

When we got to the issue of the bride price, her father mentioned ₦3 million.

He explained that his daughter had two master’s degrees from the UK and that the family considered her highly educated.

Before I could even respond, my fiancée spoke from the corner of the room.

“Daddy, ₦3 million is too small. He just closed a $20,000 tech contract last month. If he really values me and respects this family, he should pay ₦10 million...Anything less is too small for someone like me.”

I looked at her, then I looked at her father.. no comments from him.

I took out my phone, paused for a moment, and slowly stood up.

“You're completely right,” I said..

It is a small three-bedroom house in Bridgetown, Barbados. It is painted in bright colors, and Rihanna’s name is on a sign outside.

She lived there until she was 16.

Tourists now visit the house and take pictures of the kitchen where Rihanna once helped her mother cook.

The street changed too. In 2017, Westbury New Road was renamed Rihanna Drive. Rihanna came back to Barbados for the ceremony.

She said it was a day she and her people would never forget.

There is now a monument on the street that lists some of the things she has achieved. There is even a rum shop along the road.

About 20 minutes away is Rihanna’s $22 million beachfront villa at One Sandy Lane.

Then there is Beverly Hills.

In 2021, Rihanna bought a 1938 mansion for $13.8 million. Paul McCartney lives nearby.

Three months later, she bought the house next door for $10 million.

That house was not even for sale.

She simply wanted it.

Rihanna is the richest female musician alive. But much of her fortune did not come from music. It came from businesses like Fenty Beauty and Savage X Fenty.

Davido bought a new house in Atlanta and shared it himself.

“New 🏠 God has been good to us .”

The house has two floors, seven bedrooms, a big lawn, and a garage. It sits on 0.7 acres of land and costs about $2.5 million.

For most people, $2.5 million is a huge amount of money. But for Davido, it is just another house.

His land in Eko Atlantic cost ₦4 billion ($3 million) in 2024. Today, the land is worth more than ₦8 billion ($6 million). His Banana Island properties are worth over ₦5 billion ($3.7 million).

He has also bought some of the most expensive cars, including a one-of-one Mansory worth about $15 million and a Maybach GLS 600. He even gave Mayorkun a Cybertruck.

So, compared to everything else he owns, this $2.5 million house is small.

But Davido did not share it like another business deal. He shared it as something special for his family.

And the word he used was “us.”

Many people in the comments talked about Chioma, the woman he often praises for being an important part of his life.

After buying millions of dollars in cars and land, Davido shared this house with one simple message:

This one is for us.

He recently went back to Atlanta, but he could leave again anytime. Davido lives in different parts of the world and is always moving.
