When we are young, people often don't take us seriously. It can be frustrating, especially if people are telling you to act like an adult and yet you are treated like a child. Here we see Paul encouraging Timothy to be an example. Instead of dwelling on the disadvantage of youth, focus on being worthy of being looked up to. Focus on maturing spiritually. Let your words and conversations reflect Christ. Pray that your character will reflect Christ, and above all, have faith in God.

Read the Bible enough and you'll definitely come to find the importance placed on prayer, and also more specifically on prayers for others, be they those who do not yet know God, those close to you, or those in need. Everywhere, we should also pray for those on the front line doing God's work. For missionaries, for our churches, for our ministers. These are the people who pray often also for us, and it is in each other we may find strength.

As we venture out into our daily journey, we do not have time for interruptions. We miss opportunities to help one another when we aren't even looking! We must slow down and look closely at the world around us; there are people in need of our comfort and support. Our friend is depressed because they've lost a job, and our family is hurting over the death of a loved one. Our spouse is anxious over bills while a co-worker fights addiction. The Samaritan was on a journey; he had somewhere else to be, yet, he stopped to help the injured man. He did not see the man's need as an interruption because he had compassion in his

God accomplishes miracles through the work of a few people! When we see needs within our church or community, we come together to start new ministries. We begin with a few people and often feel overwhelmed by the task ahead. Let us remember the twelve disciples, only twelve to share the Gospel with nations! They trusted God with the task at hand, and we see their success before us right now! When it looks like we don't have enough help, let us remember how God moved mountains with only twelve disciples. All we must do is trust His plan.
