The Executive Chairman of Mopamuro Local Government Area, *Hon. Ademola Bello*, has congratulated *Hon. Olawumi Sam Jacob*, Member representing Mopamuro State Constituency at the Kogi State House of Assembly, on the successful completion of three years in office.

Hon. Bello described Hon. Olawumi Jacob’s three years of service as a period marked by dedication, commitment, and impactful representation of Mopamuro people at the state legislature.

“Hon. Olawumi Jacob has shown what true representation means. His voice in the Kogi State House of Assembly has brought meaningful attention to the needs of Mopamuro. From legislation to constituency projects, his performance in the last three years deserves commendation,” the Chairman stated.

He commended the lawmaker for his collaboration with the local government administration in advancing peace, unity, and development across the 10 wards of Mopamuro. He noted that their partnership has helped deliver more dividends of democracy to the people.

*MOPAMURO LG CHAIRMAN, APC LEADERS MOVE TO RECONCILE PARTY EXCOS AND STAKEHOLDERS AFTER APC PRIMARIES*

The Executive Chairman of Mopamuro Local Government Area, *Hon. Ademola Bello*, in company of other notable APC leaders, has commenced a reconciliation tour across Mopamuro LGA to strengthen unity within the party following the just concluded APC Primaries.

The reconciliation Team include:
*Hon. Kingsley Femi Fanwo* - Kogi State Commissioner for Information and Communications
*Hon. Olawumi Sam Jacob* - Member, Kogi State House of Assembly representing Mopamuro Constituency *Hon. Sunday Moses Alumo* - Special Adviser to the Kogi State Governor on Cultural Integration *Hon. Joy Solomon* - Vice Chairman, Mopamuro LGA *Barr. Ajaun* and other respected stakeholders of the party in Mopamuro

The tour is focused on appealing to aggrieved party members and addressing concerns that arose during the primary election. The goal is to foster reconciliation, rebuild trust, and ensure cohesion ahead of future elections.

Speaking during the engagement, Hon. Ademola Bello emphasized that no individual interest is greater than the collective interest of the APC. He urged all members to see the primaries as an internal process and to close ranks for the progress of the party and Mopamuro LGA.

The Chairman and his entourage have so far met with *300 party executives and 200 stakeholders across the 10 wards* of Mopamuro. The interactions have been described as frank, peaceful, and productive, with many stakeholders pledging renewed commitment to the unity and growth of the APC.

Leaders at the meetings commended the Chairman and the reconciliation Team's leadership and proactive steps, noting that reconciliation is key to sustaining the party’s strength and electoral victories in Mopamuro.

*MOPAMURO LG CHAIRMAN FELICITATE WITH CHILDREN ON 2026 CHILDREN’S DAY*

The Executive Chairman of Mopamuro Local Government Area, *Hon. Ademola Bello*, has felicitated with children in Mopamuro and across Nigeria on the occasion of the 2026 Children’s Day celebration.

Hon. Bello described children as the future of the nation and the pride of every community. He said their wellbeing, education, and protection remain a top priority for his administration.

“Today we celebrate the innocence, energy, and potential of our children. They are the leaders of tomorrow, and it is our duty to create an environment where they can learn, grow, and thrive without fear or limitation,” the Chairman stated.

He reaffirmed the council’s commitment to supporting programs that promote quality education, healthcare, and child welfare across the ten wards of Mopamuro. He also urged parents, teachers, and community leaders to continue nurturing children with love, discipline, and good values.

*MOPAMURO DELIVERS 7,572 VOTES FOR PRESIDENT TINUBU AT APC PRESIDENTIAL PRIMARY*

The All Progressives Congress [APC] Presidential Primary held on Saturday, May 23, 2026, recorded a massive turnout of party members across the ten wards of Mopamuro Local Government Area, with *President Bola Ahmed Tinubu polling 7,572 votes*.

Voting commenced as early as 8:00 a.m. at centres across the LGA, with stakeholders describing the exercise as peaceful, orderly, and credible. A total of 7,593 registered party members were accredited to participate.

*Ward-by-ward results for President Tinubu:*
1. *Ward 1*: 1,045 votes
2. *Ward 2*: 593 votes
3. *Ward 3*: 1,112 votes
4. *Ward 4*: 678 votes
5. *Ward 5*: 587 votes
6. *Ward 6*: 1,155 votes
7. *Ward 7*: 896 votes
8. *Ward 8*: 414 votes
9. *Ward 9*: 694 votes
10. *Ward 10*: 398 votes

Speaking after the exercise, the Chairman of Mopamuro Local Government Area, who also served as the Returning Officer for the Presidential Primary in the LGA, commended party members for their peaceful conduct and impressive turnout. He said the outcome reflects the overwhelming support President Tinubu enjoys among the people of Mopamuro.

Also speaking, the Kogi State Commissioner for Information and Communications, *Hon. Kingsley Femi Fanwo*, said the result shows that President Tinubu remains widely admired across rural communities. He added that the transparent conduct of the primary demonstrates the APC’s commitment to deepening democratic ideals.

The Chairman of the APC in Mopamuro LGA, *Mr. Olajide Adeyemo*, stated that the exercise reaffirmed the APC as a party driven by the people and committed to democratic participation.
