JOB SEARCH STRATEGY: DON’T JUST APPLY — POSITION YOURSELF
Are you applying for several jobs but getting very few interviews?
The problem may not be your experience. It may be how you position yourself.
Here are 5 strategies to improve your job search:
1️⃣ Optimize your LinkedIn headline
Clearly state your target role, key skills, and the value you bring.
2️⃣ Target quality vacancies
Focus on 5–10 relevant opportunities instead of mass-applying to jobs that don't match your profile.
3️⃣ Use the right keywords
Study the job description and naturally include relevant skills, qualifications, tools, and job titles in your CV and LinkedIn profile.
4️⃣ Network strategically
Connect with recruiters, hiring managers, and professionals in your target industry. The right conversation can create opportunities beyond applications.
5️⃣ Follow up professionally
After applying, identify the appropriate recruiter or hiring manager and send a concise message highlighting your interest and suitability.
💡 Remember:
Your CV gets you considered. Your positioning gets you noticed.
If you're applying repeatedly without getting interviews, don't immediately conclude that you lack experience. Your CV, LinkedIn profile, keywords, networking, and application strategy may need improvement.
🚫 Stop applying blindly.
🎯 Start applying strategically.
