Please give me a few minutes to cry. 😢 I planned my day one way, and it turned out totally different. I was supposed to leave early to supply my customers in Ogbomoso as I’m currently in Ogbomoso, but just as I was about to go, rain started falling like it had a personal grudge. How was I supposed to run in that? I sat down, discouraged, and before I knew it I’d crashed on the bed like the lazy brat that I am. I’m not going to punish myself, though. I eventually stepped out around twenty minutes to 12, energised and ready. We move, nothing stops us. Ogbomoso people, start placing your orders now 🙄. I'm here for this week

I can’t believe I’ve been so busy these past few days that I couldn’t even put myself together to write anything 🙃. In fact, ko easy lati jẹ́ ọmọ obìnrin (it’s not easy to be a woman).

Sometimes I look at my scars, and I’m like, “Omo Victoria, you sef don try.” Apart from being naturally shy, those close to me know how playful I am, and honestly, I’m not always the most careful person. That’s why people around me tend to watch out for me because they know I don’t really pay attention to certain things.

That was the same energy I carried into my groundnut business, and of course, it earned me a lot of scars. But those scars also mean I learned valuable lessons the hard way.

Did I stop just because I sustained injuries that sometimes needed hospital treatment? No, I didn’t. I would simply wear a big gown to cover up and still show up regardless.

Here’s the lesson: I don’t blame my business for the injuries. Instead, I see them as a call to work on my weaknesses. And here I am today, not perfect, but growing and learning every step of the way.

So, I started sharing my beginner story yesterday.

To continue, how was I able to cope as a student? Honestly, it was a lot having to combine classes, school work, fellowship, and at that time, I was also a tutor. Omo, it was not easy o, but thank God for my amazing friends and the lovely people around me. I don’t think I could have managed without them.

There was even a day a friend told me, “I don’t think anyone can just visit you as a normal friend, just to gist.” And I replied, “It’s not possible you will peel groundnut o, in fact, we will even pack it together. You no get choice!” 😂 But the truth is, it wasn’t by force they were just genuinely lovely souls.

And those women I was supplying? They are mothers who were so supportive too. Tell me, what kind of person helps you pack the very goods you want to sell to them and still pays you in full? I used to hear things like, “I have children like you, and I know you’re a student.” That kindness touched me deeply.

To everyone who, in one way or another, supported my business, please know I don’t take your kind heart for granted. You’re indeed amazing.

Through all of this, I’ve learned something important: be kind. Sometimes, the little support you give, whether in actions or even just words, is enough to keep someone going.
