*زكاة الفطر:* هي صدقة واجبة على كل مسلم قادر، تؤدى قبل صلاة عيد الفطر، وهي طُهرة للصائم وتكافل للمجتمع.

*حكمها:*

فرضها النبي ﷺ على المسلمين، الصغير والكبير، الذكر والأنثى، والحر والعبد.

*مقدارها:*

تُخرج صاعًا (حوالي 2.5 - 3 كجم) من الطعام الذي يقتاته أهل البلد، مثل التمر أو الأرز أو القمح.

*موعد إخراجها:*

الأفضل: قبل صلاة العيد.

يجوز: قبل العيد بيوم أو يومين.

لا يجوز: تأخيرها بعد صلاة العيد، إلا لعذر.

*هل يجوز إخراجها نقدًا؟*

اختلف العلماء، والراجح عند بعض المذاهب جواز إخراجها نقدًا إذا كان ذلك أنفع للفقراء.

*Zakat al-Fitr* is an obligatory charity for every capable Muslim, given before the Eid al-Fitr prayer. It serves as purification for the fasting person and support for the community.

*Its Ruling:*

The Prophet ﷺ made it obligatory on all Muslims—young and old, male and female, free and enslaved.

*Its Amount:*

It is given as one sā‘ (approximately 2.5–3 kg) of food commonly consumed in the region, such as dates, rice, or wheat e.t.c.

*Time of Giving:*

Best time: Before the Eid prayer.

Permissible time: A day or two before Eid.

Not allowed: Delaying it until after the Eid prayer, except for a valid reason.

*Can It Be Given in Cash?*

Scholars have different opinions. Some schools of thought allow giving it in cash if it benefits the poor more.
