My dear brothers and sisters, today we celebrate not just the birth of Nigeria, but the strength, courage, and resilience of her people.

As we mark this Independence Day, let us remember that true freedom is found in unity, justice, and opportunities for all. Our beloved Sokoto and indeed Nigeria deserve leaders who put people first, leaders who serve with sincerity, humility, and vision.

Congratulations 🎉 🎉 to Dr. Shamsuddeen Aliyu Haido, Vice Chairman, SAHAD HOSPITAL, Abuja for hiis Appointment as one of the Patron of the Arewa Youth Consultative Council (AYCC NATIONAL).

The Arewa Youth council in its 51st executive session selected him to be one of their patrons among other powerful Nigerians including Royal highnesses. This appointment is in recognition of his good will, investment in youth development, passion for the progress of Arewa and Nigeria; especially his dedication in supporting youth in Sokoto State.

As one among other patrons, the council is confident that his experience and passion for Arewa will be tapped in abundance. Believing that he possesses the vision to effectively help the council to grow.

Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi raji'un

It is with profound sorrow that we received the news of the passing of our beloved Hajiya Kulu Maga, who returned to her Lord today, Friday, 10th August 2025.

Hajiya was a pillar of strength, kindness, and faith in our community. Her life was a testament to generosity, devotion to Allah, and unwavering commitment to her family and all who knew her. May the Almighty forgive her shortcomings, grant her the highest rank in Jannatul Firdaus, and envelop her in His infinite mercy.

To the Maga family, relatives, and all mourners: may Allah grant you the fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss. Our hearts and prayers are with you in this time of grief.

May her gentle soul rest in eternal peace.
