V Nine years ago, this lady right here took a decision to leave an abusive marriage and never looked back. She was married to a drunkard who did nothing but to drink while the wife toiled day and night to make sure she and her children had something to eat.

2013 was the year she left an abusive man who savagely attacked her, and she never looked back. She left the man and their children.

Now compare 2013 when she was constantly abused and 2022 when had peace of mind.

Today is 19 May 2025, nearly two years since the current administration took office.
The petroleum subsidy has been scrapped, the naira has been floated, taxes have skyrocketed, and inflation has become unbearable. Insecurity has worsened, with the government earning failing grades in protection and stability. Suffering permeates every facet of life, and I struggle to pinpoint a single area where this administration has genuinely improved the lives of Nigerians. Instead, we’ve been fed lies and deception.
As an average civil servant just a few years ago, life was far from perfect, but it was manageable. We could drive our personal cars on long journeys without obsessing over fuel costs. We could take our families shopping at least once a month, pay our children’s school fees without immense hardship, and afford fuel to power our generators—sleeping under the relief of a fan during sweltering nights. Now, those times feel like distant dreams, sweet memories we desperately wish we could reclaim.
Nigerians are educated and discerning in every way. We entrusted this government with a precious portion of our lives—6-7% of our lifetime—only for them to squander it. The damage caused by their flawed policies is so deep that even if we act now to correct course, recovery will take years, if not decades.
Today, more than 70% of Nigerians are neither happier nor safer than before. Parents must now make agonizing choices about which of their children can attend school. To be brutally honest, many of us no longer care if politicians loot public funds, sell national assets to themselves, or amass luxury cars, yachts, and hotels for their cronies. Our only plea is this: Do not inflict unnecessary suffering on the people.
Finally, my fellow Nigerians, let us ask ourselves honestly: Are we better off now than before? Do we truly believe there is light at the end of this tunnel?
They promised us 'Renewed Hope.' But where is it?

Here's a simple healthy drink recipe you can make and keep at home for your enjoyment.
KUNU ZAKI
Recipe
Millet
Guinea Corn( the white one, optional)
Sweet Potatoes (dry or fresh ones)

Cloves
Ginger ( dry or fresh ones)
Pictures attached

Procedures;
Separate chaffs and dirt's from your millet and guinea corn.

Wash thoroughly to extract sand from the mixture and soak overnight.

Pound your dry sweet potato to soften it or if using fresh sweet potatoes, wash thoroughly and cut in cubes.

Put the ginger and dried sweet potato or fresh potatoes, germinated rice and cloves in a bowl for grinding.

Extract the soaked millet and guinea corn and put into a separate bowl for grinding.

After grinding each bowl separately, take a handful of the grounded millet and guinea corn puree and put in the potatoes mixture.

Boil your hot water and pour into the millet and guinea corn puree while stirring like you are making your pap till it thickens.

Then pour the grounded sweet potato mixture into the thickened puree once it cools a little, stir till it is well combined.

Allow to cool completely and leave for 6-7 hours. Do not stir again as it might go soar when stirred.

After being cooled, sieve to remove the chaffs and add your sugar to your filtrate.

Your kunu zaki is ready. Enjoy with your kids and family.

One of best things you can do for yourself in 2025 is to make your own cleaning agents, especially your all purpose bleach.
With just 2,000 naira, you can make ten litres of very effective bleach that can serve as
Disinfectant
Very very effective toilet wash
And stain remover for your white dress

Recently I tested my homemade bleach with a popular toilet cleaner in the market and I can tell you for free that the toilet cleaner did nothing for my toilet.

I simply poured my bleach in my toilet bowl, five minutes later, I came back and flushed, my bowl was sparkling clean, I didn't need to use any brush for scrubbing.

Moms with crawling toddlers, I think you need this the most for disinfecting surfaces.

Here are the three chemicals you need to produce a very good ten litre bleach.

Soda ash
Chlorine
Caustic soda

Just pour them one after the other in a bucket containing ten liters of water and stir.
Leave for one day and start using it.

Ps. You can also continue to stir it every morning for seven days, to make it more effective.

Post edit: This bleach is more effective than any bleach or cleaning agent you can buy in the market.
Make your bleach yourself just once and you will realize that you have been wasting money.
Chlorine 250g
Soda ash 250g
Caustic soda 500g

No more excuses. No more waiting. The best time to start is now. Pitch that idea. Drop that bad habit. Learn that skill. Stop overthinking it. Just do it, even if you have to do it afraid.
