Hello farmers! As the clock ticks down to midnight, I'm filled with gratitude and praise for the One who gives me breath and purpose. Alhamdulillah, it's been a journey, guys! Started this goat farming thing with 2, and now I've got 3! Growth is growth, right? All thanks to Allah, the Provider, the Bestower of blessings.

Reflecting on the ups and downs, the victories and struggles... Alhamdulillah, He saw me through. Taught me patience, resilience, and trust in His perfect plan. Farming isn't just about goats; it's about cultivating faith, hope, and perseverance.

To everyone working tirelessly to make their dreams a reality, keep pushing! You got this! When the fields seem barren, when the goats are few, remember: it's not about the numbers; it's about the One who's counting.

Looking forward to seeing what 2026 brings. May Allah bless my farm, my family, my followers and my endeavors. May this new year bring joy, peace, and prosperity to all.

I took this picture today, 31st December 2025. I'll post an update on 31/12/2026.

MYTHS ABOUT GOAT FARMING!

Hello fellow farmers! 🐐 While goat farming may seem easy and rewarding, there are some common myths that need to be addressed, especially for aspiring and farmers. Let's get straight to it!

Myth #1: Goats will eat anything.
Reality: Goats are curious and love to browse, but they have specific dietary needs and prefer certain plants. Don't buy goats without planning for their feed - it's crucial to plan your feeding strategy.

Myth #2: Goats are easy to manage.
Reality: Goats are manageable when kept in a secure enclosure. Without proper housing, they can escape, damage property, or cause other issues. Take proper care of your goats to avoid unnecessary costs.

Myth #3: Goats give birth every 5 months.
Reality: This is a big misconception! Goats are pregnant for about 5 months, and after giving birth, they need at least 3 months to nurse their kids. That’s 8 months between births! The key to successful goat farming is keeping accurate records.

Myth #4: Goat farming requires little to no initial investment.
Reality: Starting a goat farm requires a significant initial investment in quality breeding stock, feed, vaccinations, and infrastructure. Underestimating the costs can lead to financial strain.

Myth #5: All goats are the same.
Reality: Different breeds have different characteristics, needs, and production capabilities. Research and choose breeds that suit your climate, resources, and production goals.

Goat farming is a rewarding venture that requires knowledge, planning, and dedication. By debunking these common myths, we hope to empower aspiring and farmers to make informed decisions and achieve success in their goat farming journey.

HAPPY NEW MONTH FELLOW FARMERS 🌃

Faith in the Farm: My Journey to Goat Farming 🐐

Hello farmers! I'm
excited to share with you my journey into goat
farming! It all started with faith - faith in myself, faith in the process, and faith in the potential of these amazing animals. I remember when I first started, I had so many doubts and fears. Would I be able to provide for them? Would they thrive under my care? But I knew that I had to trust the process and have faith that everything would work out.

With just 3 goats to start, I knew it wouldn't be easy. But I'm determined to learn, to grow, and to make it work. And I'm hoping to say that it's a journey worth taking! From learning about nutrition and breeding, to overcoming challenges and celebrating successes, it's been a wild ride.

There have been times when I've questioned myself, when I've faced setbacks and obstacles. But my faith has remained strong. I've learned to trust in the process, to trust in myself, and to trust in the animals.

If you're thinking of starting your own farm or pursuing a dream, I encourage you to take that leap of faith. It won't be easy, but it will be worth it. Don't let fear hold you back - take the first step, and trust that everything will fall into place.

Remember, "faith is not the absence of doubt, but the presence of courage." So be courageous, take the leap, and see where it takes you!

My goats 🐐 taught me the power of animal nutrition!

Hello fellow farmers! I'm a farmer with a small number of goat, I have only 3 goats. A few months ago, I noticed that they weren't growing as fast as they should. They were getting sick often, and their weight gain was slow. I realized that I wasn't giving them the right nutrition. So, I changed their diet to include more nutritious feed, fresh water, hay, and minerals as supplements.

wow! Within a month, they transformed! They're healthier, happier, and their growth rate increased significantly! They're now putting on weight faster, and I can see the difference in their overall health and vitality!

I'm thrilled with the results!I've learned that animal nutrition is not just about feeding, it's about giving them the right fuel to thrive. And it's made all the difference!

If you're a farmer like me, I urge you to prioritize animal nutrition. It's the silent power behind every productive farm.

CHALLENGE OF THE DAY: STARTING UP A FARM 🐐

Hello farmers! Starting a goat farm can be a rewarding venture, but it comes with its own set of challenges. We often overlook the aspect of starting a farm as a challenge and focus on other hurdles like disease outbreaks and management, yet starting up is the key to every challenge you'll face.

Why is starting a goat farm a challenge? It's because farming is capital-intensive, and you need a significant initial investment in infrastructure, breeding stock, and equipment. You also need suitable land and climate conditions, quality feed and nutrition, and proper disease management.

Here's the thing: planning and research are important, but taking too much time on planning can be a waste of time. There's no way to figure everything out at the beginning. We learn by doing, not just planning.

So, focus on the basics and key things you need at the start:
- Initial investment
- Suitable land
- Quality feed and nutrition
- Disease management

Overcoming the first obstacle will prepare you for other challenges. Don't stress yourself out; just take the first step and start!

What's holding you back from starting your goat farm?

Hey fellow farmers! Let's talk about something important - The ESTRUS CYCLE of our does!

I know it can be tricky to keep track of, but trust me, it's worth it. My does usually show signs of heat every 18-24 days, and it's crucial I catch it within that 24-48 hour.

As a goat farmer, understanding your doe's estrus cycle is crucial for successful breeding and kidding.

The signs of the Heat period ranges from increased vocalization to restlessness and pacing, discharge or mucus and mounting or standing to be mounted.

Knowing these signs will help you to plan for kidding, to time breeding accurately and it increases the conception rate.

How do you guys manage your does' estrus cycles? Any tips or tricks to share? share your experience and tips on managing estrus cycle in the comment section below.

THREE (3) AVOIDABLE MISTAKES ON THE FARM

Are you making these common mistakes on your farm? then this is for you:

1. NOT MAKING YOUR FEED PROPERLY: Not making your feed properly can lead to malnutrition, disease, and reduced productivity. Invest in quality feed and nutrition for your animals! Poor feed quality can impact your farm's productivity and profitability. Common feed-related mistakes include inadequate nutrient balance, poor ingredient quality, and inconsistent mixing and formulation. This can lead to reduced immune function, poor growth rates, and increased mortality rates. To avoid this, source high-quality ingredients, monitor feed quality, and consult a veterinarian or animal nutritionist to develop a balanced feed plan.

2. NOT FOCUSING ENOUGH ON FARM MANAGEMENT: Not focusing enough on management can lead to chaos and inefficiency. Plan, organize, and monitor your farm's operations to maximize profits! Lack of planning, inadequate record-keeping, and poor labor management can cause poor decision-making, increased costs, and reduced efficiency. Develop a comprehensive farm plan, invest in labor training, and regularly review operations to optimize performance.

3. NOT FOCUSING ENOUGH ON SALES: Not focusing enough on sales means you're missing out on revenue! Develop a sales strategy and build relationships with customers to grow your business. Prioritize sales to increase revenue, drive growth, and build a sustainable farm business.

Avoid these mistakes and take your farm to the next level!
