Its been a tough time in NZ for SME businesses for a few years now. Couple that with unfriendly landlords and the higher cost of living it makes it impossible to stay open. Let alone operate on an island out of the mainstream. I'm proud of my eldest sister Carol Forman and partner Steve who has had the Humblepie Village Butchery, Waiheke for 20 years or so. Working hard all the way through. While reading all the Facebook posts from people on the island sharing their thoughts and how much they care about Carol & Steve, I thought that was a great sense of comradery and friendship. What a great bunch of people you Waihekians are. Thanks for caring about my sister. As so many SME's are going out of business owing tens or hundreds of thousands, Carol and Steve would rather sell.the shirt off their backs to repay their debts. I sincerely hope I'm not embarrassing you Carol xx. But just think you'll be known as "Carol of Waiheke" 🤣😂. One door has closed but another will open. Kia kaha Carol and Steve. xx
