OUR STORY
Hornyak gourmet small-goods originate from our love and passion for food and good quality ingredients. We give credit to our artisan background, Hungary and The Philippines, when it comes to food and palate.
Richard Hornyak, born in Budapest, Hungary is a 4th generation butcher who is passionate about the quality of his products and is dedicated to excellence in customer service. He met his wife, Ellen in New Zealand. Ellen originally from The Philippines, came from the Pampanga province, known for delectable treats. She grew up surrounded by a family in love with creating delicious foods. Together, their shared passion produced the Hornyak brand and they are proud to share with the world.
It started with having friends around for dinner, they would rave about the food and would often requests information of where to get them from. At present, we are already the main supplier of “Pampangas’ Products’’ along with other gourmet small-goods in Christchurch.
