How does crop swap work a quick explanation
So how does the whole crop swap thing work, you might ask yourself, well here are some answers that might be helpful.
How much does it cost? Nothing!
What do I bring?
Some examples are…vegetables, fruit, seedlings, seeds, flowers, herbs, eggs, baking, sourdough starter, kombucha scoby, pickles/preserves, empty jars and lids, pine cones, pots for planting and so on ...
How much do I bring?
Whatever you feel comfortable with. Bring as much or as little as you have. It’s all about getting together and sharing what we can. There are no expectations.
Who do I swap with?
Even though it’s called ‘Crop Swap’, we share amongst everyone. When you arrive, place your goodies on the table then spend a bit of time meeting others and enjoying getting to know like minded people. Once we think everyone is there, we meander and take a little bit of this and a little bit of that.
Can I still come along if I have nothing to bring?
This is a tricky one… the philosophy behind Crop Swap is to give with generosity and take mindfully. To help you see what it’s all about, you’re welcome to attend your first Crop Swap with just you and then you’ll know what to bring next time.
