🐑 You asked, we found it!

Fernglen Farm has been one of those products that keeps coming up in conversations with our regulars, so we’re very happy to say the full range is now on our shelves. 🥛

If sheep milk is already your thing, you’ll know why people have been asking for it. And if you’ve never tried it, tomorrow’s a good day to change that...we’re having an in-store tasting this Saturday so you can give some of the range a go before deciding what’s coming home with you. 🛒

It’s always good when we can tick another one off the “can you please stock...” list. 😄

A little shout-out to another local business 👏

From our truck out on the road to the signs you see around our shops and even the stickers on our gift boxes, Web2Print are behind a lot of what you see at The Big Egg!

These guys look after all sorts of signage for us and are honestly so good to deal with. Nothing ever seems to be a problem, whether it’s wrapping a truck, sorting shop signage, printing stickers or helping us make our shops really pop.

Everything comes back looking slick and exactly how we imagined it (usually better!).

We love being able to work with and support other local businesses, so a big thank you to the team at Web2Print for always making us look good. 🙌

A few new jars have landed on our shelves! 🍋‍🟩

We’ve added some goodies from St Andrews Limes in Hawke’s Bay, and if you’re a lime & lemon lover, these are definitely worth a look.

🍋‍🟩 Lime & Date Chutney
🌶️ Hot Lime Pickle
🍋‍🟩 Lime Curd - yep lime, not lemon!
🍋 Preserved Lemons

The kind of things that are great to have in the fridge or pantry. Add them to a cheese platter, a curry, spread on toast or use them to give dinner a bit more flavour. And if you need some inspiration, check out their recipes for some seriously delicious ways to use them!

To all the dads, grandads, stepdads, father figures and everyone doing the dad thing in their own way, we hope you have a lovely day.

Hopefully it involves good food, your favourite people, and permission to put your feet up for the day.

However you’re spending your Sunday, we hope it’s a good one.

🥩 Well, it is Father’s Day weekend...

So we thought Manawatū Biltong was a pretty good choice for this Saturday’s tasting!

Made just up the road in Feilding, these guys handcraft their biltong in small batches using NZ beef 🐂. If you’ve walked past the bags on our shelves wondering what it’s like, Saturday is your chance to actually give it a go.

Come down, have a taste and a chat. You might find something to add to Dad’s Father’s Day stash... although there’s absolutely no requirement to share it with him. 😂

We’ve teamed up with Ceres Organics for a colouring competition running all September at The Big Egg Otaki. 🍪

Simply buy any of the new Ceres Organics Cookies berry or golden oat in store to be eligible, grab a colouring sheet and let the kids get creative! 🖍️

There’s a pretty cool prize up for grabs too....a ‘Nature in Surprising Places’ card game plus a huge Ceres Organics kids snack pack.
