"POTATO CULTIVATION, MARKETING AND SME FINANCIAL LITERACY"

OUR Yameve farmers have been relying heavily on potato and other fresh vegetable cultivation and reselling, which has been the only cash crop in our area. However, marketing in bulks is always an ongoing problem. Yameve Farmers Association (YFA) is established to capture our unbanked farmers and MSME operaters. Later this association will register a company with IPA and issue equal shares to all our farmers so they can produce and supply fresh produce to all the market outlets in NCD, hotels, super markets, Catering services, tertiary institutions, mining industry, correctional institutions etc....

Yameve Farmers Association will become a major shareholder and customer in the new PNG MSME Corporation LTD and Asia Pacific Finance Group LTD setup by the Think Tank Group Inc.

Our experts will provide SME Financial Literacy to all our Agri-preneurs (farmers) to have formal cashflow and money management skills for their small income.

We are negotiating with major fresh produce organisations in the Highlands region imbued with Fresh Produce Corporations to boost our marketing plans for the better.

Yameve Farmers Association was formed by a handful of dedicated individuals from Henagaru, Kuru, Homu, Haga, Nupagimi and Yate, but other handful of Farmers throughout the Eastern Highlands province are represented in this group.

Yameve Farmers Association has a paramount objective in the collection and dissemination of the best available technical and practical information relating to all aspects of potato production, biology, utilisation, marketing and distribution.

Yameve Farmers Association serves as the official professional group for those involved in potato and vegetable research, extension, production, and utilization. The Association provides opportunities to contribute in one or more of six sections: Training, Breeding & Genetics, Certification, Extension, Production & Management, Plant Protection, Physiology, and Utilization & Marketing.
