The Most Embarrassing Series of The Year? 🤔

Motor Ace Motocross racing is a 2023–2024 8 leg race event in the Philippines, considered to be one of the most interesting and one of the most intense race of the year. Containing some of the biggest names in Philippine Motocross, with riders like Bornok Mangosong, Terrence Napat, Michelin Rivera, Elced Maninggo, Ray ray Bait-it etc..

These Motor Ace Series are held in many regions throughout the Philippines, leading to many riders fighting for the overall points, risking too much and fighting for the title of becoming the future Motor Ace Official Champion of the year.

With all the intensity, commitment, dedication and expectation displayed by the riders, they fought with extreme effort to secure the race points.

However those hard efforts were all for nothing.

Now why is that?

Instead of grandeur prizes and a fair amounts of cash rewards, it was however met with extreme disappointment. From the expectation of tall trophies and big cash prizes for the 8 leg overall winners, it was just however, a few thousand pesos, with reports of riders even recieving only 2,000₱ and a plastic plaque worth 50 pesos.

It is indeed The biggest rip off in the history of PH MX

However it’s not the first time that exploitation happens in motocross, instead it’s very common in other series and leagues. They take advantage of riders which they know the commitment that these riders bring to the sport and Especially riders that are very motivated to make a name for themselves. Once these riders starts to rack up points they continue to hype up them up through posting on social media, and eventually with all the rider’s sacrifices they are left with a very disappointing taste of Filipino unjust and exploitation.

Reports from other current Professional Motocross riders openly discussed about retiring early, and talking about their motivation and dedication to the sport is already fading because of too much expense and the race organizers providing very little in their return on investment.

Let this be a lesson to all the motocross organization and organizers who will soon handle motocross events. Motocross is not a sport for the common men, it is a very expensive and exciting sport and it is a sport that can meet extreme consequences. The lives of these riders are at stake. So it’s best to meet them with a proper and fair share for their talents and efforts and organizers must give them their rightful share of subsidies and accomodation. A rider’s life is not is not easy, An expense for travel already eliminates half and sometimes all of the given subsidies and prizes recieved from the race. It’s time that the cries and voicers of these riders must be heared!
