Sautéed Shrimp Paste or Ginisang Bagoong are fermented small shrimps (alamang) that were sautéed with spices. This can be considered either as a dish or as a condiment. As a stand-alone dish, Ginisang Bagoong can be simply eaten with steamed rice. This sauteed shrimp paste is the perfect medley of sweet, savory, and spicy and makes a great condiment to green mangoes, saba bananas, etc.
