The Mead Foundation, together with United Agarwood Planters, Inc. (UAPI), proudly turned over 2 newly constructed bamboo classrooms to Masimag Elementary School through the Itayo ang Pag-asa (โ€œIPโ€) Classrooms.

Built in partnership with Base Bahay Foundation, the new facility provides a safe, sustainable, and inspiring learning environment for students, complete with furniture, learning essentials, and improved sanitation facilities.

During the ceremony, Mr. Benjamin Mead, Founder of the Mead Foundation and President of UAPI, reaffirmed the organization's long-term commitment to the community of Barangay Tagbak, Talakag. Beyond creating livelihood opportunities through agarwood plantations, the Foundation aims to support education, nutrition, and community development for generations to come.

This initiative is more than a project. It is a promise to invest in people, empower young learners, and help build stronger communities where every child has the opportunity to succeed.

UAPI successfully harvested 60 agarwood trees just 8 months after inoculation using OUDIno. What makes OUDIno particularly interesting is that it was specifically developed for wood chips production.

Several trees showed highly promising resin formation, with initial observations suggesting that some samples may already exceed the 20% resin content commonly associated with premium wood chips quality.

While these findings are still preliminary and not yet conclusive, they represent a significant milestone in our ongoing R&D efforts. Official evaluations and further assessments will continue at 12, 18, and 24 months after inoculation.
