Jek was out and about, exploring what life has in store for him, then in the fateful day on December 26, 2019, life as he know it, changed forever.
It started as a simple stomach ache, little enlargement of the abdomen, nobody knew what it was, and before he knew it, it was days of CT scans, MRI's and dozen of blood test, but still no diagnosis. He was 23 years old, ready to conquer the world, and suddenly, he was at the hospital taking tests to know what is wrong with his body.
With every appointment, with every needle, with every procedure, with every treatment came with a cost. A cost he didn't prepare for, and a cost he didn't know he needed to prepare for.
After all the procedures they did to him, they found out, his bone marrow has scarring and it was drying out and it's causing his blood to thicken and clot. He needs to have a bone marrow transplant, or it will cost his life.
As much as our family and our pride wants to keep this for ourselves and just deal with it, we really need prayers and financial help. The bone marrow transplant itself would cost about $25-30 thousand (1 -2 million pesos) and this does not include the cost we initially incurred which already cost about $20 thousand (1 million pesos).
Yes, we are asking for help, for prayers, and just for anything to offset costs associated with the diagnosis and the treatment. Our goal is to help and be one in this fight with Jek and hopefully offset the costs to prolong his life and adventure in this world.
