Rehan Tariq raised his voice for the people forced to sleep on roadsides and footpaths.
“These citizens sleeping on footpaths are laborers who have come from different cities in search of livelihood and survival. Sadly, many of them do not even have proper shelter or a place to call home.”
Rehan Tariq questioned what happened to the shelter projects introduced during عمران خان’s tenure for workers and laborers coming from other cities. “Where have those shelters gone?” he asked.
I want to ask Maryam Nawaz — now that this is your government, whose citizens are these people? They are someone’s fathers, sons, and brothers, struggling every day just to earn a living. Providing them with shelter and proper living arrangements is the responsibility of the government.
