They don’t just make honey. They manage water.💧🐝
In the scorching heat of summer, when flowers dry and the hive runs hot, honeybees form a silent line—like pilgrims at a sacred spring.
Each bee takes a droplet, then vanishes—carrying it back not to drink, but to cool the hive. Their wings fan the moisture, regulating internal temperature like living air conditioners.
And they do this... together. No queen commands. No drone instructs. Just instinct. Order. Purpose.
This is not a water break. This is climate control.
In a single trip, one bee cools thousands. Multiply that by a colony.
Now tell me again who runs the world?

Just before sunset, these two tiny bees seem to be speaking in their own language—perhaps sharing the fatigue of the day, or maybe preparing for tomorrow. These little creatures of nature remind us that love, connection, and cooperation are the true beauty of life. Just as the sun sets only to rise again with new light, relationships too survive and flourish through care and trust."💕🐝

Australian research from the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research, published in 2020 in "Nature Precision Oncology", found that honeybee venom, specifically its main component melittin, can kill 100% of aggressive breast cancer cells, including triple-negative and HER2-enriched subtypes, within 60 minutes.

Led by Dr. Ciara Duffy, the study tested venom from 312 honeybees and bumblebees from Australia, Ireland, and England. The venom, particularly melittin, was highly effective against these hard-to-treat cancers, with minimal harm to healthy cells. Melittin works by forming pores in cancer cell membranes, causing cell death, and within 20 minutes, it disrupts cancer signaling pathways critical for growth and division.

When combined with chemotherapy drugs like docetaxel, melittin enhanced tumor suppression in mice. The venom from Perth bees, noted as among the healthiest, showed consistent effects across regions, unlike bumblebee venom, which lacked melittin and was ineffective.

While promising, this research is in early stages, conducted in lab and mouse models, not humans. Further studies are needed to assess delivery methods, toxicity, and clinical efficacy before it can be considered a viable treatment.

If you see a bee of any description on the ground or not flying that is not on a flowering plant, it is starving! You can help.
We're currently well into the 'June Gap' - the time between when spring flowering plants stop and autumn flowers start producing pollen and nectar.
You can help by mixing two parts of sugar to one part of water and offering the syrup to the bee. She (and mostly women) will happily drink from a teaspoon. You'll see his little tongue black while he drinks. It will take about 10 minutes to turn syrup into energy, but it will fly away if you help it in time. The feeling you get when you see her recover and flight is worth your time.
PLEASE NOTE - This is a temporary measure and "first aid" only. Bees need diversity in their diet and need to pollinate plants in their foraging. I'm not suggesting we feed sugar to bees as a normal thing.
NO HONEY PLEASE - Disease can easily spread from colony to colony through this practice and you will do more harm than good. White sugar and water only please x
They can't thank you so I'll do it on their behalf.
Thank you a million xx Words are like bees!!!. some create honey and some leave a sting..
