The moral lesson.
Once upon a time, there lived a princess who loved to dance. The princess was very beautiful. Many princes came to see her. They wanted to marry her. They brought her gifts.
One prince brought a giant diamond. "This is the biggest diamond in the world. If you marry me, you will have beautiful diamonds and jewels for the rest of your life".
The princess did not like diamonds. "I am sorry ', the princess said. "But I will not marry you ".
Another prince brought the fur of a leopard. "I hunted and killed this leopard myself ". He said. "If you marry me, I will hunt big and strong animals for you ".
The princess did not like the leopard fur . "I'm sorry ". But I will not marry you".
One day, another prince came. He was from a poor country . The poor prince did not have a big, fancy gift for the princess . Instead, he stayed in princess's palace for many days. He talked with her often. He and princess became friends.
The poor prince soon realised that the princess loved dancing more than anything. Now , he knew what gift she would like.
When the poor prince came with his gift, the princess was nervous. What if he also gave her a gift that she did not like?
She opened the box. Inside was a pair of beautiful dancing slippers! "You know what I like!" the princess cried.
"Of course I do", said the poor prince. "I cannot marry a person without knowing what they like."
The princess hugged him. They agreed to get married.
What is the lesson you draw from this story ? is the lesson you draw from this story ?
On my side the precious treasure maybe worthless instead of happiness , because even though you can get many things without what you prefer means nothing. By the way it is worthwhile to know what your fellows prefer in order to win for their affections and this may show them that you value them.
Never forget that a priceless gift is to be treated as human with dignity.
