Onion & Honey Cough Syrup, Bee sure to try this!
Suitable for SORE THROAT, COUGH and CONGESTION
Raw onion is excellent for cough as it has phlegm-removing abilities. It can reduce viscosity, or thickness, of mucus, allowing it to be eliminated more easily. Nutritionally, onions contain both vitamin c, bioflavonoids and phytochemicals, which increase the effectiveness of vitamin c in your body.
Raw honey is rich in minerals, enzymes, several B vitamins, prebiotics, and antioxidants. It has antiseptic and antibacterial properties.
Recipe: Onion Honey Syrup
1 big onion, thinly sliced
3 tbsp raw honey
Method:
1. Place sliced onion into a container.
2. Add honey and mix well, cover with a lid and let infuse for 60 minutes at room temperature.
3. You may crush the onion or scoop out the juice. There will be plenty of juice.
Suitable for SORE THROAT, COUGH, and CONGESTIONas a pleasant sweet taste. It is best to make this syrup fresh every day and store it in the fridge.
Take 1 teaspoon 3 times a day.
Note: DO NOT give raw honey to babies less than 1-year-old
