Good morning/afternoon/evening, I just want to draw your attention on what we've discussed last, about the youth network that we want to create so that any development platform can use it to do their job. We have drafted the frame work structure that will run through all villages in Tonklimba. And we have decided to give it a Limba name so it can reflect or depicts on our ethnicity and traditional heritage which is Thonko Limba. We decided to name it *NIYA BA YI SOLO YOUTHS NETWORK* . With the aid of this network, youths quota can be set aside for implementation of youth-led projects in Tonko Limba. And I promise you that when this comes to it full operations, there will be no struggle in mobilizing young people for any *work-force* that is needed for the development of our beloved chiefdom and it will *serve as example* for *other chiefdoms* even *out side Kambia District. To clear the air*, it is not politically driven, neither can we use it for *political gains only but for community services.* It an absolute *liberation movement* of our youths from thinking that *politics* is the only *answer to our problems* . It goes beyond *sensitizing* youths to be *resilient* , *realistic* and *rationally-minded* to handle *our community problems without depending on Government to provide everything for us*.The *Niya ba yi solo youths Network* is aiming to embark on *creating proper drainage system for some villages, cleaning of footpath roads, motorable roads maintenance, cleaning of social places, creating a workforce for development projects, embarking on Agricultural projects to create financial stabilization, sports and entertainment activities to scout talents, debate and other educational competitions in schools to create academic excellence, advocacy for unskilled youths ie girls and young women's to be empowered through education and skills training,etc. We really want to start with sensitizing youths on misinformation and conscience awakening for their future, creating a platform to share our various community problems and to noted down action points and to create a partnership atmosphere with organizations that can best handle each development project in our agenda.This is what we stand for in our plight.
