At that time, we thought we were working for our country, but eventually, we realized that we were working tirelessly under the wrong individuals, leaders who value their families more than national unity. We thought we were working for them, but in the end, we found that we were working for ourselves.

The current situation in South Sudan doesn't need our youth to become rebels, nor does it need innocent soldiers, who aren’t even paid, to die for something that doesn’t represent national contributions. These wicked leaders don’t care about how you die for them. Our fathers fought to liberate South Sudan for a reason, but this regime has forgotten why millions of heroes sacrificed their lives so that we could be independent today.

Listen, all those sycophant leaders will go one day, and South Sudan 🇸🇸 will remain as a nation with new leaders who will raise up all 64 tribes. Don’t see the Dinka as your enemy, don’t fight the Shilluk as your enemy, and don’t fight the Nuer as your enemy. Instead, fight that one Dinka who is spoiling the name of the tribe.

I envision a future where poor generations become rich through diversity, not tribalism. Politicians took advantage of our divisions for their political gain. They told you, "This is a Nuer, he killed your grandfathers, go and fight him now." That narrative was used to divide us, but it's time we wake up and unite for the future of South Sudan.

Compatriots,

I would like to refer Journalist Mading Ngor to the historical document that was signed in Washington by Dr. John Garang and Dr. Riek on 22 October 1993 ahead of the SPLM convention in 1994 to confirm the agenda. The unification of the SPLM in 2002 was base on principle of self-determination to the People of Southern Sudan, which later produced the CPA in Naivasha in 2005. Dr. Riek Machar Teny initiated the agenda for the independence of Southern Sudan then, instead of a New Sudan Vision of Dr. John Garang and Hon. Kuol Manyang Juuk of Torit faction at that time. History cannot be easily hijacked, Dr. Riek and Dr. Lam Akol were the pioneers of self determination, if it was a battle of ideas, then history shows that their position ultimately prevailed after the flag was raised on 9 July 2011 at stadium in Juba. Hon. James Kok Ruei was right on that history. in a nutshell, release the father of self-determination and engage him in an inclusive dialogue to resolve the crisis in South Sudan. Please you can read the document below, SPLM was for A secular and united Sudan before Nasir declaration in 1991. You can also cross check with the US congress, Sub-committee on African affairs.
