Following the Friction Pro, V1, and V2, the new RPM Q2 lineup is an absolute banger.
Power & Performance
Serve Speed: The RPM Q2 clocks in at around 61.6 MPH, ranking in the 99th percentile of all paddles tested in 2026.
Playstyle: This is a pure power paddle, delivering heavy drives right from the baseline. You'll notice the massive difference most clearly when playing singles.
Power Comparison: Its raw power is right up there with the Boomstick (the one we tested actually felt slightly more powerful when hitting the sweet spot). If you mod it with lead tape or add an overgrip, it becomes an absolute monster.
Spin & Control
True to the brand's name (RPM), this power paddle still cranks out an impressive 2310 RPM spin rate—a remarkable stat for a paddle with such high power and pop.
Texture: The textured CarbonBite surface makes topspin shots incredibly heavy and allows you to slice deep, curving balls. If you love painting the lines with dipping drives, rolling volleys, or slice returns, you're going to absolutely love this paddle.
Feel & Sound: It offers great ball feedback and a super satisfying "pop" sound that keeps you pumped throughout the game.
Important Notes & Recommendations
⚠️ Warning from the Shop: You will need to compact your strokes when moving up to the kitchen line; a wide swing will easily send the ball flying out.
Skill Level: We do not recommend this paddle for newbies. To fully unlock the strengths of the RPM Q2, you need clean, compact, and decisive mechanics. However, if you're already used to the Boomstick, transitioning to this will be a breeze.
Sweet Spot: Rated 8/10 compared to the Boomstick (but equals it if you add some lead tape).
Swing Weight (SW): Stock SW is around 114–116. After adding an overgrip and edge guard tape, it sits around 117–119.
Face Feel: Right out of the box, the face feels stiff and hollow, yet it still grabs the ball beautifully during drives. It's safe to say that after the break-in period, the dwell time will be even better.
The Verdict
It’s been a hot minute since we last saw a paddle that can go toe-to-toe with the Boomstick in terms of power. This is a fantastic alternative for players who are already "fed up" with Selkirk. Absolutely phenomenal!
