حضرت شداد بن اوس رضی اللہ عنہ فرماتے ہیں کہ مجھے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: شداد بن اوس! جب تم لوگوں کو دیکھو کہ وہ سونا چاندی جمع کر رہے ہیں تو تم ان کلمات کو ذخیرہ کرنا
"اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الثَّبَاتَ فِي الْأَمْرِ، وَالْعَزِيمَةَ عَلَى الرُّشْدِ، وَأَسْأَلُكَ مُوجِبَاتِ رَحْمَتِكَ، وَعَزَائِمَ مَغْفِرَتِكَ"
"یا اللہ! میں تجھ سے دین پر ثابت قدمی اور بھلائی پر پختگی کا سوال کرتا ہوں، اور تجھ سے تیری رحمت اور تیری مغفرت کا موجب اور یقینی سبب بننے والے اعمال کا سوال کرتا ہوں"
